Fanòi Primitivo
Imagine the great winter fire, its sparks capable of intertwining sacred and profane, that warmth that its pagan nature has in store, wild and at the same time current, deeply alive. And now think of the blaze that illuminates older nights, nights of pilgrimages and litanies lit by ex-votos, of epic and never lost souls, in the land that the peasants thanked with flames, when lighting a fire meant building a pyre and each of those logs of wood was the verse of hundreds of propitiatory prayers.
Sacred fires, nocturnal prayers, this was under the indifferent constellations, season after season. Fanòi preserves those sparks and those embers, preserves those rites, in the color of its name with purple reflections, wild, impetuous sparks, like the scents expressed by Primitivo grapes. The chiaroscuro of its mnemonic root becomes the enveloping sensuality of its structure, capable of expressing the sense of sacred and pagan rituality and above all of wisely mixing in its aroma that god of small and those ancestors of large companies. This wine knows how to tell the spirit that marked and watched over the vintages and human time.
